B&B production was born during the pandemic with split-screen music videos that mainly features a formation of two double basses and a piano. The repertoire is heterogeneous and suited to the tastes of an audience that can vary from experts to amateurs. The group received awards with the Audience Prize and the third prize in the “Split Screen” category of the International J.M. Sperger Competition for Double Bass. B&B Classic was born with the possibility of playing with StringVirtuoso and producing more “classic” videos.
Riccardo Baiocco was born in 1998 and studied with Piermario Murelli at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milano, graduating in 2017 with full marks. He continued studying at the Stauffer Center of Strings of Cremona and Sermoneta with Franco Petracchi, the Accademia Chigiana of Siena with Giuseppe Ettorre and in 2022 he obtained the Master of Arts with Alberto Bocini at the Haute école de musique de Genève. He has obtained the eligibility to collaborate as Tutti double bass in various orchestras including the OSR, the OCG, the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Sinfonierochester Basel, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, ORT, Arena di Verona and as first double bass at the Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi in Trieste.
Andrea Brissa was born in Vibo Valentia; he graduated with full marks in double bass at Conservatory. After, he obtained the specialization in “Music, Science and Technology of Sound” direct orchestral-concert course (EO-C) sub-course Monothematic of double bass, with full marks and honors. He participates in the advanced training courses in Siena at the Accademia Chigiana of Siena with Giuseppe Ettorre. He attends courses at the Stauffer Center of Strings of Cremona under the guidance of Franco Petracchi. He studies and perfects the jazz language by releasing records as a performer and composer. Extensive classical and jazz concert experience, acquired over the years, playing in important musical events such as the Ravello International Festival, Rendano Theater in Cosenza, Roccella Jazz Festival etc. Since 2021 he has been Artistic Director of the A.GI.MUS section of Catanzaro.
Giuseppe Donato was born in 1997 in Vibo Valentia. He began his studies under Maestro Domenico Pizzi’s guidance and then enrolled at the Conservatory at eleven. During the course, he studied with the Masters G. A. Brustia, D. Tudzharov, A. Drozdov, F. Pascalucci, P. Piran, graduating on 29/10/2019 under the guidance of M ° Michele Bolla and performing a program based on composed works by women. He starts immediately after the II level academic course in piano at the “S. Giacomantonio” in Cosenza, during which he carries out tutoring activities for chamber music and four-handed piano classes. He graduated under the guidance of Maestro Giuseppe Maiorca, graduating on 16/03/2022 with full marks.
