Bottesini’s Concerto No. 2 is by far the most performed of his pieces, and it forms a staple part of the repertoire for recitals and auditions. In this new transcription from the manuscript by Thomas Martin, the original suoni reale notation is used, which would have been commonplace in Bottesini’s day. The piano parts, available in solo and orchestral tuning, are Bottesini’s own arrangements. The whole edition is complete with Thomas Martin’s fingerings and bowings, so you too can learn to play this how he does.
