Antonín Dvořák’s Ninth Symphony is perhaps one of the best-known symphonies of all time — a recording of it was even taken to the moon! Written in 1893 whilst Dvořák was director of the National Conservatory of Music of America, the largo second movement of this symphony is reminiscent of African-American folksong. Here, Cathy Elliott has arranged this movement for beginner double bass and piano.
