Pedro Valls

1869-1935

Pedro Valls was one of the most important double bassists to emerge from the Catalan school during the late nineteenth century. He was a contemporary of Bottesini, and trained with Bottesini’s student José Roveda whilst working in Buenos Aires. Many of his compositions, however, remain unpublished, though his popularity is ever growing.
